Instant Loading. Video Capability Added. New Web 2.0 platform

Virtualiris launches its new Web 2.0 patented platform, that is instant loading. Virtualiris has always been the fastest way to load interactivity onto your webpages. But, now, Virtualiris has taken it to an even higher playing field, your webpages will load at the same speed they would without Virtualiris technology added. Being HTML based, that interactivity can now take place into and out of existing widgets on the page, such as video and flash. So Virtualiris becomes the base standard into which all widgets now reside, with the ultimate in interactivity with any elements on the page.

Automatic 3D Creation

Virtual Iris showcased their automatic 3D creation software, where 3Ds of people were made and emailed literally in seconds, introducing bulk creation of 3D rotations.

Virtual Iris technology enables a wide variety of mechanisms for 3D rotation display, including multi-plane, such as being able to have multiple levels of tilt while viewing a 3D rotation. Thus providing the mechanism for 720 degree 3D rotation which includes both horizontal and vertical rotation simultaneously.

About Virtual Iris

Since 2003, Virtual Iris has invested considerable time and money protecting the intellectual property that underlies Virtual Iris' revolutionary new technology. Currently, the company holds six U.S. patents as a result of its innovative approach to rich media development and display.

In 2008, after years of patenting, concept development, testing, and refinement, Virtual Iris entered the marketplace to enormous success and accolades.

Our clients are consistently impressed by how easy and fast it is to create and display dynamic content – that also yields better results – using Virtual Iris’ web-based application. By helping users greatly reduce the complexity and high cost of creating rich media, Virtual Iris boasts extremely high levels of customer satisfaction.

Virtual Iris clients include Traffic Marketplace, an online ad network with over 30 billion monthly ad impressions that merged with Epic Advertising, a leading performance network and search marketing company. Since partnering with Virtual Iris, Epic Marketplace has seen ad click-through rates increase 5-10 times compared to traditional rich media banner ads and web pages. Beneficiaries of Virtual Iris’ web-based application include many Fortune 100 companies.

Patent Portfolio

Virtual Iris, owns the software process patents of control layers, image interactivity, hotspots, 3D Rotation, Color Changing, Info Boxes, Add-On Shopping Cart functionality, Zoom, Measure and proprietary software scaffolding that allows all these features to be combined.

The Virtual Iris patents were built out of the idea that the fastest way to display content online is through HTML. It was realized early on that there were many disadvantages to using 3rd party plug-ins, that were not truely part of the native HTML. HTML being the "language of the web" would eventually be an intrinsic part of the way people interacted online. So Virtual Iris set out to patent the most effective ways of displaying content online.

This included things like a control layer (which could be invisible or not) to control other layers. This control layer logic, allowed for the scaffolding of multiple layers that control other layers seen in a number of web based solutions now seen online today. It also allowed multiple different interactive features to be seemlessly combined into one fully functioning interactive unit.

The most effective way to do 3D rotation through HTML through a layering process, as opposed to the traditional methods that used the swapping of images which were clunky, and did not give the smooth transition effect seen in so many 3D rotations today.

The process of taking a series of images around an object to create a 3D. This includes hardware components patented from the concept of using a lazy susan, all the way through a variety of hardware setups that would allow for instantaneous 3D rotation image capturing.

Effective ways of doing color changes, allowing for color changing to occur through a layering process as opposed to the traditional clunky process of using image swapping.

The ability to add info boxes, which are areas and layers that can pop up or appear on interactivity with another layer. This is seen in a number of ways today online.

The capability of adding shopping cart functionality based on this layering interactivity.

There were a vast number of features around zoom functionality patented. This includes software processes allowing for instantaneous zoom, sliding zoom, zoom based on purely style sheet type functionality, focused zoom (which is the ability to zoom in on a small area of a larger image), the resizing processes for zooming at appropriate aspect ratios.

With measurement, using the control layer process, a way to measure an item by dragging on it online.

Multiple proprietary layering processes were patented allowing for all these features to be combined most effectively.
