About Virtual Iris Founder, Dr. Gary Kramer The idea for Virtual Iris began with a simple goal: the need for a faster, more turn-key way to create and display interactive rich media content. About Virtual Iris Founder, Dr. Gary Kramer Dr. Gary Kramer, Founder, CEO and Chief Software Designer, is the chief architect of Virtual Iris’ innovative patented technology. A dedicated entrepreneur, Gary founded Speedscan, a multi-million dollar global document imaging company that under his guidance expanded from North America to Australia, Africa and Asia. Speedscan was the direct result of Gary’s entrepreneurial spirit and unique programming expertise. As a general practitioner, he was appalled by the length of time it took to process and store medical data. Taking matters into his own hands, Gary conceptualized a way to get the job done faster and more efficiently. Alongside a team of developers, Gary developed proprietary COLD and Imaging software systems that would become Speedscan. Many Fortune 1000 companies – including Caterpillar, McDonald’s and Visa – would soon count on Speedscan for software and systems that enabled them to display graphical printed information digitally. After helming Speedscan for 10 years, Gary sold out to Colonial and Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Speedscan was eventually sold to, and now operates under, Data Impact. Gary’s other accomplishments include his early days as a nationally ranked tennis player in Africa. He holds a medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. Patented Technology Serving Highly Satisfied Customers Since 2003, Virtual Iris has invested considerable time and money protecting the intellectual property that underlies Virtual Iris’ revolutionary new technology. Currently, the company holds four U.S. patents as a result of its innovative approach to rich media development and display. In 2008, after years of patenting, concept development, testing, and refinement, Virtual Iris entered the marketplace to enormous success and accolades. Users have been amazed by how easy and fast it is to create and display dynamic content – that also yields better results – using Virtual Iris’ web-based application. By helping users greatly reduce the complexity and high cost of creating rich media, Virtual Iris boasts extremely high levels of customer satisfaction. Virtual Iris clients include Traffic MarketPlace, an online ad network with over 30 billion monthly ad impressions set to merge with Epic Advertising, a leading performance network and search marketing company. Since partnering with Virtual Iris, Traffic MarketPlace has seen ad click-through rates increase 5-10 times compared to traditional rich media banner ads and web pages. Beneficiaries of Virtual Iris’ web-based application include many Fortune 100 companies. Steve Gilfand Ken Sondo Vanesa Duek Barry Goss, PhD |
